  • …received him with great compassion.  (verse 20)
  • …restored him as His son.  (verses 22-24)

  • …enjoyed the Father’s restoration.  (verse 24)

  • …sought out the working son.  (verses 28, 31-32)

  • …resented the celebration for his younger brother.  (verses 28-30)

THE LESSON

 

• Gaze in awe at the beauty of our Heavenly Father’s extravagant grace and tender compassion.   
  • Reflect His grace and compassion to others.

 

• Heaven throws a party when sinners repent.
  • Celebrate with joy when Jesus saves lives!

 

• Jesus continues to pursue the lost.
  • Join Jesus in His pursuit.
