FAITH AND WORKS

(4:1-12)

 

  • Abraham has no right to boast.

 

  • Abraham was justified by faith.
    • Wages are earned.
    • Justification is given freely.

 

  • Dave wrote a song about it!  (Psalm 32)

 

  • Faith like Abraham’s is how all enter Abraham’s spiritual family.

 

 

THE PROMISE

(4:13-25)

 

Believe God…

 

  • “…we walk by faith, not by sight.”  (2 Corinthians 5:7)

 

  • We focus on truth about God.

 

  • We trust the Word of God.

 

All of this is for us now!
