WITH GOD, EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED

(9:24-30)

 

  • God has called from the Jews and the Gentiles.

 

  • Old Testament evidence for Gentiles (Hosea 2:23, 1:10)

 

  • Old Testament evidence for a remnant of Jews (Isaiah 10:22-23, 1:9)

 

  • Many Gentiles were receiving Christ’s righteousness by faith.

 

  • Many Jews were missing Christ’s righteousness by pursuing their own righteousness by works.

 

  • Jesus Christ is either a rock of offense that trips the self-righteous, or the foundation of life for the humble.

 

 

RIGHTEOUSNESS TO EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES

  • What does your prayer life reveal about your heart for the lost?

 

  • Do you know “good,” sincere people who are lost?

 

  • Will you share the hope of the gospel with “good” people who need Jesus?
